Arsenopyrite
Pronunciation: Ar-see-no-pie-right
Chakras: Solar plexus, Sacral and Root
Origin: Portugal
Arsenopyrite is an iron arsenic sulphide mineral with a hard density and a spiky texture. This crystal is fascinating to look at with its steel grey colour and metallic slivery-white tones. Arsenopyrite in older literature is also referred to as mispickel, a name of German origin. Now it can be found in many countries including, Portugal, Spain, England, US and Sweden. If you were to find Arsenopyrite in nature, you would notice an odor of fresh garlic when it is first struck, which is quite common with most arsenic mineral crystals.
Arsenopyrite is not known as an astrological sign, which is why it isn't found on zodiac and birth charts. Arsenopyrite is also particularly stimulating to your three lower chakras that are also known as the physical chakras and take care of your self-image and connection to the world as well as your emotional balance. When you hold a piece of Arsenopyrite, there is a warm and friendly energy that can lift your spirits and promote inner self confidence and empowerment. Arsenopyrite is best kept dry, so if you like to recharge your crystals, we would suggest placing it on your windowsill at moonlight.
