This 5.25g crystal point (0.9x1.1x3cm) from Brazil is notably more translucent than typical Dumortierite in Quartz specimens, with the Dumortierite present as a soft, almost phantom-like inner colouring. A warm peachy-sandy iron oxide coating wraps naturally around the lower body, fading to a clear glassy point at the top. Dumortierite in Quartz forms when Dumortierite fibres become enclosed within a growing Quartz crystal.
