A beautifully polished Arfvedsonite & Garnet slab from India — a flat, display-ready slice that showcases the full drama of this rare mineral combination in extraordinary detail.

The base matrix is a deep charcoal-black, shot through with dense, radiating sprays of Arfvedsonite — its blades catching the light in flashes of bronze, silver, and dark gold, fanning outward in striking starburst patterns. Scattered throughout are warm reddish-brown Garnet inclusions, adding depth and contrast to the metallic shimmer. The surface is smooth and evenly polished with a satin-matte finish, allowing the natural texture and lustre of the Arfvedsonite blades to read clearly. 

Arfvedsonite is a rare sodium iron silicate amphibole mineral, forming in alkaline igneous rocks. It crystallises in thin, bladed forms that radiate outward, producing the distinctive starburst patterns visible in polished specimens. The dark red inclusions are Almandine Garnet, a common co-occurring mineral in the same host rock.

A certified fragment of the Moon's ancient highland crust, discovered in the Sahara Desert in 2020 and classified as NWA 13568.

Each 0.30-0.37g specimen (approx. 0.5-1cm) is a polymict feldspathic breccia, composed of multiple rock types shattered and fused together by repeated asteroid impacts on the lunar surface over 4 billion years ago. Its pale grey, off-white, and cream matrix is speckled with darker mineral fragments, each one a record of the Moon's violent and ancient geological history. NWA 13568 was found in the Tindouf region of Algeria in 2020 and is officially classified as a lunar achondrite meteorite.
