Apricot Agate is a banded variety of Chalcedony, a microcrystalline form of Quartz, whose warm apricot, salmon, and yellow tones come from iron oxide and manganese inclusions deposited in fine rhythmic layers as silica-rich fluids slowly filled cavities in volcanic rock.
