A rare bi-colour tourmaline from Brazil, displaying distinct pink terminations at both ends with a deep forest-green body running through the centre — the green is most visible along the upper edge where the crystal thins and light passes through more cleanly.

A substantial and beautifully polished Serpentine freeform from Madagascar — sold locally under the trade name Green Opal — with a colour that is immediately arresting: a vivid, almost luminous lime-green with a fine granular texture that gives the surface a soft, organic quality.

The dominant face is a clean, bright yellow-green, while the reverse reveals a large warm amber-orange inclusion — a natural iron oxide staining within the serpentine matrix — that contrasts beautifully against the green. Broad and rounded, self-standing on a flat base, with a high mirror polish across all faces. At 3.72kg it has real weight and presence.

Serpentine is not a single mineral but a group of magnesium silicate minerals — most commonly antigorite, lizardite, and chrysotile — formed through the metamorphic alteration of olivine and pyroxene in ultramafic rocks. The vivid lime-green is characteristic of high-magnesium serpentine, while the amber-orange patches are caused by iron oxide inclusions. A breathtaking XL petrified wood flame from Madagascar — one of the world’s finest sources of ancient fossilised timber. The colouring is exceptional: deep crimson and brick red dominate, shifting into warm amber, burnt sienna, and rich burgundy-brown across the surface. Fine white and cream veining threads through the stone, tracing the original grain and growth rings of the ancient tree. The form is a beautifully carved flame — broad and rounded at the base, rising to a sweeping pointed apex — with a mirror-high polish that brings every layer of colour to life. Petrified wood forms through permineralisation, in which the organic material of ancient wood is gradually replaced by silica (quartz or chalcedony) over millions of years, preserving the original cellular structure in extraordinary detail. Madagascar’s petrified forests date to the Triassic and Jurassic periods, approximately 200–250 million years ago. The vivid red, amber, and brown colouration is produced by iron oxide minerals present during fossilisation.
