Warm amethyst-violet at the core, shifting to amber-citrine and dusty rose across the upper points, the main stalactitic columns are encrusted from base to tip in hundreds of tiny druzy quartz crystals, each one catching light with a fine, sugary sparkle. The colour zoning is exceptional — deep purple at the terminations fading through caramel-brown to pale lavender at the druzy tips. The irregular, organic silhouette with its twin crowning spires gives this piece a totemic quality rarely seen at this scale. The matrix is dense and textured, covered in a layer of small, glittering secondary crystals in white and pale lavender. Seriphos Quartz is a rare and striking form of green Quartz found only on the Greek island of Serifos in the Aegean Sea. Known for its vivid colour and sharply defined crystal shapes, it is one of the most distinctive regional Quartz varieties in the world.

Seriphos Quartz forms within metamorphic rocks that have been altered by intense heat and pressure deep within the Earth. During this process, hot mineral rich fluids move through fractures in the rock and begin to crystallise. The colouring can range from soft pale green to deep olive or even bluish tones depending on the specific balance of mineral inclusions and geological conditions at the time of formation. Seriphos Quartz is found exclusively on Serifos, where historic mining sites exposed pockets of beautifully formed crystals perched on matrix or growing in radiating clusters.
