From the celebrated Huanggang Mine in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia — a richly saturated blueberry fluorite specimen with exceptional colour depth, and a torch shot that reveals something extraordinary.

Dense midnight-blue botryoidal fluorite nodules coat this compact cluster in a deep, near-black indigo crust, their rounded surfaces carrying a high resinous lustre. Scattered white druzy quartz crystals punctuate the dark surface, catching the light against the deep blue. The base opens into a raw grey quartz matrix with smoky inclusions, grounding the piece structurally. Hold a torch to the upper nodules and the fluorite transforms — illuminating in a vivid electric blue, with internal fractures and growth patterns rendered visible in glowing detail. The reverse reveals further quartz matrix and a clear view of the fluorite crust thickness.

Sphalerite with Minor Smithsonite on White Quartz | Nenthead, Cumbria

A striking large-scale mineral specimen from Boundary Gate Pocket, Nenthead, Cumbria, featuring lustrous dark sphalerite set across a white quartz matrix.

The front presents a dramatic contrast of metallic black to deep brown sphalerite crystals, bright white quartz and warm earthy accents from the associated mineral growth. The reverse reveals further texture and colour, giving this substantial specimen plenty of detail to explore from different angles.

Collected from Boundary Gate Pocket in January 2003, this is a characterful piece with a strong sense of locality and provenance. Minor smithsonite adds to the mineral interest of the specimen without taking away from the bold sphalerite and quartz combination.

Sphalerite is associated in crystal lore with grounding, vitality and confidence, and is often linked with the Root and Solar Plexus Chakras. A powerful statement piece for a serious mineral collection or display.

A vivid example of anthropogenic chalcanthite — copper sulphate crystals grown through industrial or mining processes rather than natural geological formation, making each specimen a striking intersection of chemistry and colour.

The front face is densely encrusted with rosette clusters of deep cobalt and electric blue chalcanthite crystals, their bladed, fan-like formations catching light with an almost metallic shimmer. Turquoise-green malachite coats the host matrix across the sides and reverse, creating a layered mineral landscape of oxidised copper minerals. The sandy, iron-stained host rock provides a warm contrast to the vivid blues.

Chalcanthite carries a high copper energy — stimulating, activating, and associated with the Throat and Third Eye chakras. A compelling display piece for collectors drawn to vivid colour and mineral chemistry.

This 113g specimen (approximately 6.8x4.1x3.9cm, 172g including stand) from Brazil features a natural Citrine point with natural structure and translucency, allowing light to move through and highlight its internal formation. Along one side, Lepidolite has developed as a textured layer, adding a gentle shimmer and depth. Citrine is a variety of Quartz coloured by trace Iron and heat, while Lepidolite is a Lithium-rich mica forming in granitic pegmatites, known for its platy, reflective structure.

Blue Baryte is a barium sulfate mineral in the Barite group, with its characteristic steel blue colouring attributed to trace elements within the crystal structure, and a Mohs hardness of just 3 to 3.5 that gives its crystals their distinctive thin bladed habit.

This 0.6kg specimen (105x63mm) originates from the Madani mines of Afghanistan, where Lapis Lazuli has been actively mined for over 6,000 years. The polished egg form reveals the stone's characteristic deep blue in full, punctuated by shimmering flecks of golden Pyrite and pale veins of Calcite running through the matrix. Lapis Lazuli forms through the metamorphism of limestone, where Lazurite develops alongside Calcite and Pyrite under intense heat and pressure.
