This Malachite stalactite naturally rests on its side rather than upright, showcasing dense crystallisation that adds texture, sparkle and depth to the overall formation.

Originating from copper rich deposits, the stalactite formed as mineral laden solutions slowly deposited layers of Malachite over time. In this specimen, the crystallisation is especially well developed, this effect is caused by Malachite’s fibrous microcrystalline structure, where numerous tiny crystal faces reflect light at different angles.

Malachite is a secondary copper carbonate mineral that forms in the oxidation zones of copper deposits. Stalactite specimens such as this clearly reveal the mineral’s growth process and are particularly valued by collectors for their geological character and rarity.

Malachite is traditionally associated with transformation and awareness and is linked to the Heart and Throat Chakras.
