This bright apple-green crystal is a big promoter of positivity, joy, happiness, and seeing the world in a colourful way. Chrysoprase is a variety of Chalcedony, a mineral in the Silicates group. Chrysoprase forms through a combination of geological processes involving silica-rich solutions percolating through nickel-rich rocks in the Earth’s crust. The formation of Chrysoprase often occurs in nickel-rich serpentinite or other ultramafic rocks. Historically, it was prized by the ancient Greeks, Egyptians, and Romans for its beauty and believed metaphysical properties.
