Richterite is a rare member of the Amphibole group of minerals, admired for its beautiful range of soft to deep blue and violet hues. It typically forms in metamorphosed limestones and skarns, created through intense heat and pressure acting upon calcium and magnesium-rich rocks. First identified in 1891, Richterite was named in honour of Hieronymous Theodor Richter, a German professor of chemistry and mineralogy.
Spiritually, Richterite is considered a stone of calm, clarity, and balanced communication. Its soothing vibration resonates with the Throat Chakra, supporting heartfelt and honest expression. It also connects to the Third Eye Chakra, heightening intuition and spiritual awareness, while its gentle Heart Chakra link promotes compassion and emotional balance.
