Caribbean Calcite is a relatively recent discovery from Pakistan, and these small carved hearts capture its distinctive palette beautifully — each one a miniature landscape of ocean and sky.

The base colour is a soft, milky ocean blue with swirling white aragonite inclusions and occasional patches of warm sandy brown. A substantial sphalerite specimen from the celebrated Picos de Europa mining district in Santander, northern Spain — one of Europe's most historically significant sources of this mineral, and one that consistently produces material of exceptional resinous lustre and internal fire.

The front face reads dark at first — a dense, near-black brown mass with the characteristic adamantine sheen of iron-rich sphalerite. Hold it to the light and the surface opens up: patches of translucent amber push through the dark exterior, glowing from within and hinting at the warmth concealed inside.
