Barite on Malachite | 52mm | Shangulowe Mine, DR Congo

From the Shangulowe Mine in Kambove, one of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s most celebrated copper belt localities — a source renowned for producing some of the finest malachite specimens in the world.

A chunky, three-dimensional specimen with a dramatic crown of upright barite needle clusters erupting from the top face. The barite crystals are elongated and translucent, coated in fine emerald-green malachite that gives them a vivid, almost iridescent quality. The lower portion is dominated by a dense, earthy iron-oxide matrix in warm ochre and russet tones, with pockets of glassy barite and malachite growth visible throughout. The reverse is raw and unworked, showing the full depth of the host matrix. Presented on an acrylic museum-style display stand.

Vanadinite Specimen 9cm, Morocco

This Vanadinite specimen originates from the Aouli Mine in Mibladen, Morocco, a locality internationally recognised for producing some of the world’s finest Vanadinite crystals. The specimen displays rich red to orange tones with naturally formed hexagonal crystal shapes and a bright, lustrous surface.

Vanadinite is a lead vanadate mineral belonging to the Vanadate group and structurally related to the Apatite group. It forms as a secondary mineral within the oxidation zones of lead ore deposits, where vanadium rich fluids react with existing lead minerals. Crystals develop in the hexagonal crystal system and are known for their strong colour saturation and high density.

Traditionally, Vanadinite is associated with focus, vitality and manifestation. It resonates with the Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus and Third Eye Chakras, and is often chosen to support motivation, creative flow and grounded intention.

Due to its lead content and brittle nature, Vanadinite is not suitable for water cleansing. Clean gently using a soft dry brush or cloth only.

This 640g specimen (approximately 135x92x46mm) from India displays large rounded white Okenite formations with their characteristic fine radiating fibres, giving each mass a distinctly fluffy, cloud-like quality against the dark grey-green basalt host rock. Okenite is a calcium silicate hydrate mineral forming exclusively within the cavities of basaltic lava flows. Indian trap basalt, particularly from the Deccan region, is world-renowned for producing Okenite specimens of exceptional size and quality.

From the celebrated Huanggang Mine in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia — a piece that goes beyond the typical blueberry fluorite specimen, revealing a rare hollow quartz geode interior beneath its dramatic indigo exterior.

The front face is densely packed with large, rounded botryoidal fluorite nodules in deep midnight blue, their surfaces carrying a high resinous lustre with occasional violet undertones where light catches the curved forms. Scattered white druzy quartz crystals push through the fluorite crust, dusting the dark surface with bright mineral snow. Turn the piece to reveal its most remarkable feature: a hollow geode cavity lined with smoky grey quartz crystals and white chalcedony — the fluorite fringing the opening in a vivid indigo border, like a window into the piece’s formation.

Charoite is one of the rarest minerals on Earth, found in only one location: the Murun massif in Siberia, Russia, along the Chara River from which it takes its name. It is a complex potassium calcium sodium silicate that forms through the metamorphism of limestone by alkaline igneous intrusions, a geologically unusual process that produces its characteristic swirling fibrous structure. The violet colour, which ranges from pale lavender to deep purple, is intrinsic to the mineral itself. Dark inclusions of Aegirine and golden-orange Tinaksite are common and add to the visual complexity of each piece.

From the celebrated Huanggang Mine in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia — a richly saturated blueberry fluorite specimen with exceptional colour depth, and a torch shot that reveals something extraordinary.

Dense midnight-blue botryoidal fluorite nodules coat this compact cluster in a deep, near-black indigo crust, their rounded surfaces carrying a high resinous lustre. Scattered white druzy quartz crystals punctuate the dark surface, catching the light against the deep blue. The base opens into a raw grey quartz matrix with smoky inclusions, grounding the piece structurally. Hold a torch to the upper nodules and the fluorite transforms — illuminating in a vivid electric blue, with internal fractures and growth patterns rendered visible in glowing detail. The reverse reveals further quartz matrix and a clear view of the fluorite crust thickness.

A near-kilogram malachite stalactite from the Democratic Republic of Congo — one of the world's great copper-belt localities and the source of some of the finest malachite specimens in existence.

The surface is covered entirely in tightly packed botryoidal orbs ranging from small, intricate formations to large, rounded domes, all in a vivid, saturated emerald green. Each orb has a characteristic concentric centre, visible across the specimen, giving the surface an almost cellular quality. At the top, a natural cavity reveals a cluster of druzy crystals in silver-grey — a striking contrast to the green exterior. The reverse shows the raw, unformed underside of the stalactite, with pale matrix and additional malachite growth.

Malachite is a powerful stone of transformation, heart healing, and protection. It draws out emotional patterns, supports change, and is closely associated with the heart chakra.
