How Crystals and Indoor Plants Thrive Together: My Personal Journey
How Crystals and Indoor Plants Thrive Together: My Personal Journey
by Laura Konst on Jan 30 2021
Our Plant Momma CEO Shares
Hi, I’m Laura — CEO of Tali & Loz and proud plant “mother” to over 30 indoor plants. You might wonder: how do crystals and plants work together? Let me share my experience with crystals for indoor plants and the remarkable effects I’ve noticed. Ready to dive in?
Like all living things, plants have their own energy — some might say even their own character.
My Plant Collection & Crystal Connection

Most of my plants started as tiny babies and have since thrived, multiplied, and grown into flourishing beauties. For example, my Sansevieria has multiplied into three large plants — with more to come! My Peace Lily has bloomed multiple times and split into several new plants.
As a plant mother, I’ve learned each plant behaves uniquely, some are picky about their spot, signaling their preferences by drooping leaves or stunted growth. What amazed me most was how much my plants seemed to love crystals, just like me. It took some time to notice, but now it’s obvious: crystals positively affect my plants’ wellbeing.
My Journey Using Crystals with Plants
At first, I used crystals in pots because they look stunning. But I soon noticed plants with raw Clear Quartz nearby needed less water and had healthier leaves. Turns out, I’m not alone, many agree crystals support plant vitality.
Plants grow naturally in mineral-rich soils, sometimes near crystals, so this connection makes sense. However, not every crystal suits every plant, just like how we each resonate differently with certain stones.
After dividing plants, which is stressful for them, I began adding raw Clear Quartz and Rose Quartz to their pots. These crystals’ calming, restorative energies seemed to speed recovery, acting like a spa treatment after a tough experience.
Crystals That Help Your Plants Thrive

Moss Agate is my number one plant bestie. This beautiful green crystal encourages growth and vitality, creating a nurturing environment for your plants. It even helps purify the air, making it perfect for leafy indoor friends.
Shungite is well-known for its powerful protective properties. It shields your plants from electromagnetic radiation and negative energy, especially important if your plants sit near electronic devices.
Tree Agate features soft green and white tones and supports grounding and steady growth. It’s an ideal crystal to foster stability and calm energy around your plants.
Petrified Wood is fossilized wood that enhances strength and resilience in plants.

It encourages deep rooting and long-term flourishing, helping your plants stay strong through changes.
Red Jasper is excellent for plants experiencing stress or recovering from illness. This crystal has grounding and realigning energies, helping plants overcome shock or root rot and regain vitality. Leave it in the pot for about a week, then cleanse and recharge it before using again.
Tiger’s Eye is a powerful energy booster. It supports strength and growth, especially when added after fertilising. Just be mindful not to combine it with other strong stones at the same time to avoid overwhelming your plant.
Black Tourmaline is a grounding crystal that protects against negative energy and

electromagnetic pollution. It helps your plants feel secure and promotes healthy growth in challenging environments.
What to Watch Out For
Avoid soft crystals like selenite or opals near plants, as they can degrade or crumble in soil.
Always check if mixing crystals is necessary, too many energies at once can overwhelm your plants.
Use crystals sized appropriately for your plants; larger plants need bigger stones to feel the benefit.
Place crystals on or just below soil surface to keep their energy effective without disturbing roots.
Final Thoughts
Using crystals with plants is a beautiful way to support their growth, energy and happiness. It’s a journey of trial, observation, and intuition just like caring for ourselves.
Have you tried crystals with your plants? What experiences have you had? I’d love to hear your stories.
Wishing you and your plants all the best,

Love & Light, Laura
