The body is a rich interplay of deep burgundy-brown and warm salmon-pink, covered in tightly packed spherical orbs ranging from fine pinhead clusters to larger, clearly defined circles with pale cream centres. The cluster is densely packed with short, rounded quartz terminations coated in deep brick-red and dusty rose haematite inclusions. Colour zoning shifts from rich burgundy at the base to translucent blush at the tips, with pockets of white matrix and a small natural cavity at the centre adding depth and character. A substantial green onyx tower from India with exceptional banding — one of the most painterly examples of this material we have handled.

The colour story runs from a warm amber-orange crown, through bands of sage and celadon green, into a series of fine terracotta, coral, and dusty rose stripes across the mid-section, before settling into a cool, translucent pale green at the base. The banding is fluid and organic, with each layer varying in width and intensity — no two faces read the same. The polish is high and glassy, allowing light to pass through the thinner sections and illuminate the layering from within. At 25 × 9.4 × 7.7cm and 3.24kg, this is a commanding display piece.

Please note: this piece has minor surface chips near the tip and at the base, visible in the listing photos and reflected in the price. These are small and do not detract from the overall beauty of the tower.

Acquired from an old private collection, this Ocean Jasper palmstone has a calm, natural palette and a satisfying two-sided character.

One side is the more graphic of the two: green and creamy orbs arranged in distinct banding, the colours alternating in sweeping layers that give the piece a structured, almost rhythmic quality. The other side is quieter — predominantly creamy in tone, with green and brown appearing more softly and less insistently, as though the same colours have been turned down a few degrees.

Together the two faces make it a piece that offers something different depending on how you choose to display it.

A substantial sphalerite specimen from the celebrated Picos de Europa mining district in Santander, northern Spain — one of Europe's most historically significant sources of this mineral, and one that consistently produces material of exceptional resinous lustre and internal fire.

The front face reads dark at first — a dense, near-black brown mass with the characteristic adamantine sheen of iron-rich sphalerite. Hold it to the light and the surface opens up: patches of translucent amber push through the dark exterior, glowing from within and hinting at the warmth concealed inside. The flat reverse face tells a different story entirely — golden highlights streak across the surface in vivid veins, and the translucent amber is far more prevalent here, the mineral thinning enough to reveal its true colour and depth. A pocket of bright white calcite anchors the lower base, its scalenohedra contrasting sharply against the dark mineral mass. Under torchlight, the entire specimen ignites in a deep, warm amber glow.
