A beautifully polished Arfvedsonite & Garnet slab from India — a flat, display-ready slice that showcases the full drama of this rare mineral combination in extraordinary detail.

The base matrix is a deep charcoal-black, shot through with dense, radiating sprays of Arfvedsonite — its blades catching the light in flashes of bronze, silver, and dark gold, fanning outward in striking starburst patterns. Scattered throughout are warm reddish-brown Garnet inclusions, adding depth and contrast to the metallic shimmer. The surface is smooth and evenly polished with a satin-matte finish, allowing the natural texture and lustre of the Arfvedsonite blades to read clearly. 

Arfvedsonite is a rare sodium iron silicate amphibole mineral, forming in alkaline igneous rocks. This 71.2g Carnelian heart (51x60x20mm) from Brazil is carved to reveal a stunning open white Quartz druzy cavity at its centre. The outer shell is a gorgeous warm honey-orange Carnelian, smooth and glassy on the reverse, while the face opens to expose sparkling white Quartz crystals that catch the light with a bright, clean shimmer. Both Carnelian and Quartz are varieties of silica, with Carnelian coloured by iron oxide inclusions and the white Quartz druzy forming within natural cavities during hydrothermal processes.

Ammonite From Madagascar 12cm

This Ammonite fossil from Madagascar measures approximately 12cm and is sold as seen. The specimen displays the classic spiral shell form characteristic of Ammonites, preserved through natural fossilisation processes over millions of years.

Ammonites belong to the extinct marine subclass Ammonoidea, a group of shelled cephalopods that lived in Earth’s oceans from the Devonian period around 400 million years ago until the end of the Cretaceous period approximately 66 million years ago. After death, their shells became buried in sediment, where compaction and mineral replacement gradually preserved their structure as fossils.

Ammonites are widely collected for both their scientific importance and their visual symbolism, often appreciated as representations of continuity, balance and natural cycles.

From an old private collection — a delicate, gem-quality Verdelite crystal with a rich blue-green hue and impressive natural form for its size.

The crystal presents as a broad, blocky prism with well-defined faces and strong vertical striations along the body. The colour is a deep teal-green — saturated and consistent throughout, with a cooler blue shift visible from certain angles, characteristic of high-iron Verdelite. Under direct light the interior reveals excellent translucency and glassy clarity. Natural surface textures and minor growth features are present, consistent with its natural, unpolished state.

From the Chala Mine in Spahievo, Bulgaria — a locality producing some of the most pyrite-dominant amethyst specimens in the world.

On this piece, pyrite is the headline act. Bright, brassy micro-crystalline pyrite blankets the face in a near-continuous metallic crust, with violet amethyst points visible beneath — purple windows glowing through a golden lattice. Catch it in direct light and the surface ignites. The profile reveals the piece's true character: elongated amethyst points running along the edge, partially draped in pyrite, giving a clear sense of the co-crystallisation in cross-section. The reverse transitions to a softer grey-lilac amethyst cluster face, less pyrite-heavy and more open — a quieter counterpoint to the front.
