From the celebrated Huanggang Mine in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia — a piece that goes beyond the typical blueberry fluorite specimen, revealing a rare hollow quartz geode interior beneath its dramatic indigo exterior.

The front face is densely packed with large, rounded botryoidal fluorite nodules in deep midnight blue, their surfaces carrying a high resinous lustre with occasional violet undertones where light catches the curved forms. Scattered white druzy quartz crystals push through the fluorite crust, dusting the dark surface with bright mineral snow. Pyritised Ammonite from France 17.70gr

A pyritized ammonite is a fossilized ammonite that has undergone mineral replacement with pyrite—commonly known as "fool's gold"—during the fossilization process, giving it a natural metallic sheen and golden luster.

Ammonites, or Ammonoidea, are extinct shelled cephalopods or marine molluscs dating from the Devonian period (circa 400 million years ago) and the end of the Cretaceous period (circa 66 million years ago). 

Safe to water cleanse? No. It's important to handle ammonite fossils with care as they are delicate and can be easily damaged. Cleanse them gently using a soft brush or cloth to remove dust and dirt. Avoid exposing them to harsh chemicals or excessive moisture as these can potentially harm the integrity of the fossil.

From the Shangulowe Mine in Kambove, one of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s most celebrated copper belt localities — a source renowned for producing some of the finest malachite specimens in the world.

This piece has a distinctly different character to its companion — an elongated, blade-like form with dramatic barite crystals projecting outward from the malachite host, giving it a spiky, architectural silhouette. The front face is covered in vivid emerald-green botryoidal malachite with tightly packed orbs and characteristic concentric banding, interspersed with glassy colourless barite crystals.
