This 249.2g specimen (approximately 61x67x62mm) from the Gunheath Pit in St Austell, Cornwall is dominated by vivid sky blue Turquoise coating that wraps dramatically across the piece. Turquoise forms as a secondary phosphate mineral through the interaction of copper, aluminium, and phosphate-rich groundwater, with copper giving it its characteristic sky blue colouring. Cornish Turquoise is genuinely rare, forming in association with the copper-bearing mineral deposits historically worked across the Cornish mining landscape.

Turquoise is one of the oldest and most universally revered stones in the world, strongly connected to the Throat Chakra and associated with protection, wisdom, and clear communication.
