This Quartz Gwindel specimen comes from Les Courtes in the Talèfre Basin of the Mont Blanc Massif, France, a locality well known for producing exceptional Alpine quartz crystals. The specimen displays the distinctive twisted growth habit that defines a true gwindel, where the quartz develops with a gentle rotational structure rather than forming straight prismatic points.

This particular piece also shows natural Chlorite inclusions, visible as soft green mineral traces within the crystal. Chlorite commonly forms alongside Alpine Quartz within mountain fissures, and these inclusions reflect the mineral rich environment in which the crystal developed.

Gwindels are considered one of the rarest natural growth formations of Quartz.
