Mahogany Obsidian is a variety of volcanic glass (SiO₂) distinguished by its deep red-brown and black patterning, caused by inclusions of iron oxide, magnetite, and haematite within the silica matrix. Like all obsidian, it forms when lava cools rapidly, preventing crystal formation. With a Mohs hardness of 5–5.5 and an amorphous structure, it has a characteristic conchoidal fracture. Each piece varies in the distribution of red-brown and black tones.

Connected to the Root, Sacral, and Solar Plexus chakras, Mahogany Obsidian is a grounding and protective stone that supports strength, confidence, and emotional stability. This Charoite cubic freeform combines clean geometric shaping with the mineral’s naturally flowing violet patterns. The polished surfaces reveal rich colour, fibrous movement and a soft silky sheen, while the structured cubic form gives it a contemporary display presence.

Charoite is a rare potassium calcium sodium silicate formed through complex metamorphic processes and found primarily in Siberia, Russia. Hundreds of soft raised orbs in blush pink and white bubble across the surface of this captivating sphere, set against swirling lilac Amethyst tones and a sparkling druzy pocket.

This 332g sphere (6.2cm diameter) formed in volcanic rock cavities in Brazil. Each orb developed as chalcedony crystallised outward from a central nucleation point over millions of years, producing the distinctive tactile texture that covers much of this piece. Warm golden matrix traces and an open druzy window add further depth and character.

Pink Amethyst brings gentle heart-opening warmth. Orbicular Agate adds grounding, stability, and harmony, while the lilac Amethyst threads through with intuition and spiritual clarity.

A permineralised wood specimen from Zwenkau, Leipzig, Germany, where millions of years of silicification have transformed ancient timber into solid mineral, with every grain, knot, and bark ridge preserved in extraordinary detail.

Deep chocolate-brown throughout, the surface retains the full texture of the original wood: vertical grain lines run the length of the piece, a natural concave profile at the crown echoes the living tree's form, and the outer bark edge is intact on one side. Catch it in direct light and the surface comes alive with a fine copper-gold mineral sparkle, iron pyrite or goethite dusting embedded within the silica matrix. The contrast between the rough, fibrous bark face and the smoother inner wood face gives this piece real sculptural presence.

A vivid example of anthropogenic chalcanthite — copper sulphate crystals grown through industrial or mining processes rather than natural geological formation, making each specimen a striking intersection of chemistry and colour.

The front face is densely encrusted with rosette clusters of deep cobalt and electric blue chalcanthite crystals, their bladed, fan-like formations catching light with an almost metallic shimmer. Turquoise-green malachite coats the host matrix across the sides and reverse, creating a layered mineral landscape of oxidised copper minerals. The sandy, iron-stained host rock provides a warm contrast to the vivid blues.

Malachite Sphere | 1KG | Congo

A striking polished Malachite sphere from Congo, weighing approximately 1kg. The spherical cut allows the rich green banding and swirling formations to be appreciated from every angle. One available. Sold as seen.

Malachite is a secondary copper carbonate mineral that forms in the oxidation zones of copper deposits. As mineral-rich fluids interact with surrounding rock, layers of Malachite gradually develop, creating the distinctive concentric banding for which the stone is known.

Traditionally associated with transformation and awareness, Malachite resonates with the Heart Chakra and is often chosen to support emotional growth, clarity, and a deeper understanding of personal patterns.

The specimen presents as a chunky, irregular piece with patches of bright teal-blue Indicolite concentrated across the upper face, shifting from a cool aqua-blue to a deeper inky teal depending on the angle.
