Chrysocolla is a hydrated copper aluminium silicate and a member of the Phyllosilicate group. It forms as a secondary mineral through the alteration and weathering of copper rich deposits and is often found alongside Malachite, Azurite and Quartz. Its colour variation reflects differences in copper concentration and mineral growth during formation.

A near-kilogram malachite stalactite from the Democratic Republic of Congo — one of the world's great copper-belt localities and the source of some of the finest malachite specimens in existence.

The surface is covered entirely in tightly packed botryoidal orbs ranging from small, intricate formations to large, rounded domes, all in a vivid, saturated emerald green. Each orb has a characteristic concentric centre, visible across the specimen, giving the surface an almost cellular quality. At the top, a natural cavity reveals a cluster of druzy crystals in silver-grey — a striking contrast to the green exterior. The reverse shows the raw, unformed underside of the stalactite, with pale matrix and additional malachite growth.

This 183g specimen (9.4x6x2.5cm) from Les Courtes in the Talèfre Basin of the Mont Blanc Massif, France displays the characteristic twisted growth that defines a true Gwindel, where the Quartz develops with a gentle rotational structure rather than forming straight prismatic points. Natural Chlorite inclusions are visible as soft green mineral traces within the crystal, reflecting the mineral-rich Alpine fissure environment in which it formed. The characteristic star-like patterns are the preserved skeletal structures of coral polyps, their intricate geometry locked in stone over millions of years of gradual mineralisation. It is composed of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), hardness 3–4 Mohs. Handle with care — fossilised coral is fragile and should not be dropped or knocked against harder surfaces.

An excellent example of a pyrite pseudomorph after pyrrhotite from the Trepča mining district of former Yugoslavia. Pyrite has gradually replaced the original pyrrhotite while preserving its crystal shape and structure — a visually distinctive and scientifically fascinating piece. Sold as seen.

A large, densely packed elestial smoky quartz cluster from Romania, one of the finest sources for this distinctive skeletal growth form. This is a Morion specimen: naturally dark smoky quartz, colour produced entirely by natural irradiation with no heat or enhancement. Part of an old collection and no longer available to source, a genuine rarity.

Olive-grey to warm taupe throughout, the cluster is covered in hundreds of short, rounded elestial points with deeply etched terminations and glassy, reflective faces. Growth spirals and re-entrant angles are visible across the upper surface, each point catching light differently as the angle shifts. The base transitions to a raw, granitic matrix, dark grey with mineral inclusions, giving the piece a strong natural contrast between the refined crystal faces above and the rough host rock below.
