From the Shangulowe Mine in Kambove, one of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s most celebrated copper belt localities — a source renowned for producing some of the finest malachite specimens in the world.

A chunky, three-dimensional specimen with a dramatic crown of upright barite needle clusters erupting from the top face. The barite crystals are elongated and translucent, coated in fine emerald-green malachite that gives them a vivid, almost iridescent quality. The lower portion is dominated by a dense, earthy iron-oxide matrix in warm ochre and russet tones, with pockets of glassy barite and malachite growth visible throughout. A rare find from one of England's own mineral localities — Devonian-matrix wavellite with exceptional botryoidal coverage.

The face is densely populated with olive-green to khaki botryoidal orbs, their surfaces dimpled and clustered in tight formations across a charcoal-grey matrix. Copper-brown gossan staining bleeds between the clusters, adding warmth and geological depth. Flip the piece and you're rewarded with silvery-white stellate sprays — fan-like radiating crystal bursts scattered across the opposing face, a classic wavellite growth habit rarely seen this clearly.

Charoite is one of the rarest minerals on Earth, found in only one location: the Murun massif in Siberia, Russia, along the Chara River from which it takes its name. It is a complex potassium calcium sodium silicate that forms through the metamorphism of limestone by alkaline igneous intrusions, a geologically unusual process that produces its characteristic swirling fibrous structure. The violet colour, which ranges from pale lavender to deep purple, is intrinsic to the mineral itself. A near-kilogram malachite stalactite from the Democratic Republic of Congo — one of the world's great copper-belt localities and the source of some of the finest malachite specimens in existence.

The surface is covered entirely in tightly packed botryoidal orbs ranging from small, intricate formations to large, rounded domes, all in a vivid, saturated emerald green. Each orb has a characteristic concentric centre, visible across the specimen, giving the surface an almost cellular quality. At the top, a natural cavity reveals a cluster of druzy crystals in silver-grey — a striking contrast to the green exterior. The reverse shows the raw, unformed underside of the stalactite, with pale matrix and additional malachite growth.

From the celebrated Huanggang Mine in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia — a richly saturated blueberry fluorite specimen with exceptional colour depth, and a torch shot that reveals something extraordinary.

Dense midnight-blue botryoidal fluorite nodules coat this compact cluster in a deep, near-black indigo crust, their rounded surfaces carrying a high resinous lustre. Scattered white druzy quartz crystals punctuate the dark surface, catching the light against the deep blue. The base opens into a raw grey quartz matrix with smoky inclusions, grounding the piece structurally. Hold a torch to the upper nodules and the fluorite transforms — illuminating in a vivid electric blue, with internal fractures and growth patterns rendered visible in glowing detail. These palmstones measure approximately 4 to 5cm and originate from India. Kämmererite is a chromium-rich variety of Clinochlore, a phyllosilicate mineral belonging to the Chlorite group. Its vivid magenta to purple-red coloration is produced by chromium substituting for aluminium within the layered silicate structure — the same element responsible for the red of Ruby and the green of Emerald, producing an entirely different colour here due to the distinct crystal chemistry of the Chlorite host. Kämmererite forms through hydrothermal processes, where chromium-bearing fluids interact with ultramafic host rocks under low to moderate temperature conditions.
