From the celebrated Huanggang Mine in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia — a tall, columnar blueberry fluorite specimen with an unusually structured silhouette and a naturally occurring window into the quartz beneath.

Deep midnight-blue botryoidal fluorite nodules stack in a vertical column, their rounded surfaces carrying a high resinous lustre with subtle violet undertones. At the mid-point, a thinner section of fluorite coating reveals the clear quartz host beneath — the surrounding indigo casting a cool blue-green tint through the crystal, a trick of light and mineral layering unique to this piece. White druzy quartz crystals dust the darker fluorite surface throughout, catching the light in contrast to the deep blue. The base transitions into a raw grey-white quartz matrix, seated on its acrylic display stand with removable white tack.

Labradorite Tumblestones 20-30mm, Intuitively Chosen

With its mesmerising iridescence, Labradorite is a gem that holds a wealth of mystique and enchantment. Named after the Labrador Peninsula in Canada where it was first discovered in the late 1700’s, this captivating stone has been revered for centuries. This gem is also known as the "Temple of the Stars" by the indigenous Inuit people believing it to be from the frozen fire of the Aurora Borealis.

A vivid example of anthropogenic chalcanthite — copper sulphate crystals grown through industrial or mining processes rather than natural geological formation, making each specimen a striking intersection of chemistry and colour.

The front face is densely encrusted with rosette clusters of deep cobalt and electric blue chalcanthite crystals, their bladed, fan-like formations catching light with an almost metallic shimmer. Turquoise-green malachite coats the host matrix across the sides and reverse, creating a layered mineral landscape of oxidised copper minerals. The sandy, iron-stained host rock provides a warm contrast to the vivid blues.

Blue Baryte Crystal Cluster Specimen 14.3cm 

A truly spectacular 610g Blue Baryte specimen measuring 105x143x53mm, sourced from the renowned Cavnic Mine in Romania, one of Europe's most celebrated localities for this mineral. The display face is covered in a dense forest of deep steel blue bladed crystals that radiate outward in dramatic clusters, beautifully defined with sharp orthorhombic form and a lustrous surface that catches the light from every angle. The reverse reveals the natural grey matrix from which the crystals have grown, adding wonderful contrast to the piece. Blue Baryte is a barium sulfate mineral belonging to the Barite group, forming as a secondary mineral in sedimentary environments where sulphide minerals are present, and its notably high specific gravity of 4.3 to 4.6 gives it a satisfying weightiness far beyond what its size might suggest.

Barite on Malachite | 52mm | Shangulowe Mine, DR Congo

From the Shangulowe Mine in Kambove, one of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s most celebrated copper belt localities — a source renowned for producing some of the finest malachite specimens in the world.

This piece has a distinctly different character to its companion — an elongated, blade-like form with dramatic barite crystals projecting outward from the malachite host, giving it a spiky, architectural silhouette. The front face is covered in vivid emerald-green botryoidal malachite with tightly packed orbs and characteristic concentric banding, interspersed with glassy colourless barite crystals. A deep cobalt-blue body with a fine granular texture throughout — the colour is dense and saturated at the upper body and termination, softening into pale powder-blue and white clouding toward the mid and lower sections. A rare and well-provenanced phosphate mineral specimen from one of South Dakota's most celebrated pegmatite localities, sourced from an old private collection.
