Rainbow Obsidian
Rainbow Obsidian is a natural volcanic glass formed from rapidly cooled silica rich lava, with iridescent colour bands created by microscopic inclusions and light interference within the structure. Its dark base contrasts with subtle flashes of green, purple or gold when viewed at the correct angle. Traditionally associated with protection and emotional clarity, this collection features carefully selected Rainbow Obsidian pieces valued for their optical effect and volcanic origin.

This is one of those pieces that reveals itself slowly. At first glance, a deep, glossy black obsidian egg — but bring it into strong light and something magical happens. A faint, ethereal rainbow effect emerges across both sides, shifting between soft greens and pinks as the light catches the surface. It is subtle, and all the more beautiful for it.
Acquired from our old collection and sold as seen, this is a lovely egg to hold — a comfortable, tactile size that sits naturally in the palm.
