Pink Opal is an opalised radiolarite. It occurs near the Kennedy Ranges of Western Australia about 160 kms inland from the costal town of Carnarvon. Pink Opal, with its soft and soothing hue, is a stone of profound emotional healing and inner peace. Named for its delicate pink colouration, Pink Opal is revered for its ability to open and heal the Heart Chakra, promoting love, compassion, and harmony in one's life. Formed through the process of sedimentary deposition, Pink Opal derives its enchanting colour from the presence of trace amounts of manganese.

This 0.6kg specimen (105x63mm) originates from the Madani mines of Afghanistan, where Lapis Lazuli has been actively mined for over 6,000 years. The polished egg form reveals the stone's characteristic deep blue in full, punctuated by shimmering flecks of golden Pyrite and pale veins of Calcite running through the matrix. Lapis Lazuli forms through the metamorphism of limestone, where Lazurite develops alongside Calcite and Pyrite under intense heat and pressure. Prized by the Sumerians and Ancient Egyptians alike, it has been found in the tombs of Pharaohs and was once considered a vessel of the gods.
