This 18.7g specimen (3.3x3x1.5cm) from Semiostrovye, Keivy, Kola Peninsula displays a beautifully clear cruciform twin, two dark brown-black Staurolite crystals intergrown at near-right angles across a fine-grained silvery grey matrix that sparkles with mica inclusions. Staurolite is an iron aluminium silicate mineral forming exclusively during high-grade regional metamorphism, its famous cross-shaped habit governed by precise crystal twinning deep within the earth's crust.

Staurolite has been known as the fairy cross for centuries, regarded as a powerful talisman of protection and good fortune, bridging the physical and spiritual worlds.

A rare iron-red phantom quartz cluster from Morocco, where generations of mineral growth have left vivid ghost formations suspended within each crystal point.

The cluster is densely packed with short, rounded quartz terminations coated in deep brick-red and dusty rose haematite inclusions. Colour zoning shifts from rich burgundy at the base to translucent blush at the tips, with pockets of white matrix and a small natural cavity at the centre adding depth and character. In natural light the surface catches with a subtle metallic shimmer from the haematite dusting.

Acquired from an old private collection, this Ocean Jasper palmstone has a colour combination that is genuinely striking: a deep red base, large green orbs, and a single line of blue Chalcedony that runs almost the full vertical length of the piece.

The red ground is rich and warm, and against it the green orbs read with real clarity. Most of them carry a small creamy dot at their centre — the classic eye-within-an-eye detail that makes Ocean Jasper orbs so distinctive up close, and here it is particularly well-defined. The blue Chalcedony line cuts through the composition like a brushstroke, cool against the warmth of the red and green around it. And then there is a single druzy accent, small but sparkling, that catches the light and adds one more layer of texture to an already complex piece.

Ocean Jasper Palmstone | 5.8cm | Madagascar

Acquired from an old private collection, this Ocean Jasper palmstone is a study in green — and it offers two distinct readings depending on which face you look at, with the banding running vertically on both sides.

One side is the more complex of the two: green orbs are the dominant presence, but pink and white colouring threads through them, softening the green and adding warmth. Scattered across this face are a few tiny pockets of translucent quartz, small and sparkling, that catch the light and add a quiet mineral detail to the surface.

The other side is cleaner and more graphic: green orbs again, this time with creamy banding running in vertical sweeps through the piece, giving it a structured, almost striped quality that contrasts nicely with the more varied face opposite.

Spiritually, Ocean Jasper is associated with joy, emotional renewal, and the gentle release of what no longer serves you — a fitting companion for anyone drawn to its warm, unhurried energy.

The Pingwu Beryl Mine in Huya Township, Mianyang, Sichuan is internationally recognised for producing some of the finest Aquamarine-in-mica associations in the world, a result of the slow crystallisation of mineral-rich fluids within granite pegmatites deep beneath the Sichuan mountains.
