Scolecite is an absolute beauty in its natural state. On the Mohs scale it has a 5-5.5 in hardness. Scolecite is a member of the Zeolite family and it was first found in Germany 1813. Named after the word ‘skolecks’ meaning ‘worm’ in Greek because when heated, it curls up in worm like shapes. You can find Scolecite in many colours such as white, yellow, pink, red, purple and even translucent mostly in the USA, Europe and Africa. Spiritually it is a strong crystal for inner peace, lucid dreaming, and insight. It is an incredibly strong crystal for working on your Crown and Third Eye Chakras to boost your higher connections, higher consciousness and might give you that last boost you need to reach full Bliss. Scolecite is also recommended for introverts, helping them recharge after picking up energies from others. We also use Scolecite for aura cleansing, sweeping your aura from top to bottom and flick the unwanted energies away into the ground. Another way we interact with Scolecite is for deep meditation, with its strong connections to the upper two Chakras you feel the high vibrations strongly in those areas.
