A rare and well-provenanced phosphate mineral specimen from one of South Dakota's most celebrated pegmatite localities, sourced from an old private collection.

This 60.7g specimen (approximately 69x36x24mm) from the Bull Moose Mine in Custer, South Dakota displays characteristic dark blue-black Rockbridgeite matrix with patches of warm orange-pink secondary mineralisation and white crystalline material. Hureaulite is a manganese phosphate hydrate mineral forming in the oxidised zones of granitic pegmatites, while Rockbridgeite is an iron phosphate mineral that frequently occurs alongside it. The Bull Moose Mine is one of South Dakota's most well-regarded mineral localities for collector-quality phosphate specimens.

Ajoite Specimen | 36mm | Messina, South Africa | sold as seen

Mined from the legendary Messina copper deposits in Limpopo — one of the only localities in the world to produce gem-quality ajoite.

A freeform free-standing specimen coated in a dense crust of botryoidal ajoite clusters. The colour ranges from pale mint at the base to saturated robin's-egg teal at the crown, with the characteristic powdery, almost chalky surface texture of ajoite breaking into small crystalline protrusions. The quartz matrix beneath shows through at the edges in milky white. Under light, the surface has a subtle silky sheen across the druzy faces.

Deep jet-black throughout, this piece has the characteristic sculpted, flow-textured surface of a well-preserved Indochinite — ridged, pitted, and rippled from its violent journey through the atmosphere. The form is elongated and rounded, sitting comfortably in the hand, with a subtle glassy sheen where the texture smooths between the deeper grooves. Indochinites are a natural glass formed when a large meteorite impact melts and ejects terrestrial rock, which then solidifies during atmospheric flight. Charoite is a rare potassium calcium sodium silicate formed through complex metamorphic processes in Siberia, Russia. Tinaksite (calcium titanium silicate) and Aegirine (sodium iron silicate) commonly occur alongside Charoite, contributing to its striking mineral combination. Mohs hardness 5–6.

A genuine Pallasite meteorite slice from Seymchan, Russia, with translucent green Olivine crystals suspended within a polished iron-nickel matrix — one of the most visually extraordinary meteorite types known.
