A rare and characterful Cornish Turquoise specimen from one of the UK's most historically significant mineral localities.
A remarkable 249.2g Turquoise specimen measuring approximately 61x67x62mm, from the Gunheath Pit in St Austell, Cornwall, one of the most historically significant mining areas in the UK and a known but rare source of natural Turquoise. The piece is dominated by vivid sky blue Turquoise coating that wraps dramatically across the specimen, creating a bold and striking natural form. Turquoise forms as a secondary phosphate mineral through the chemical interaction of copper, aluminium, and phosphate-rich groundwater percolating through host rock over long periods of time, and it is the copper content that gives it its characteristic sky blue colouring. Cornish Turquoise is genuinely rare, forming in association with the copper-bearing mineral deposits historically worked across the Cornish mining landscape.
Turquoise is one of the oldest and most universally revered stones in the world, associated across many cultures with protection, wisdom, and good fortune. It is strongly connected to the throat chakra, supporting clear and honest communication, and is regarded as a stone of wholeness and inner truth. Water cleanse?
Not recommended. Turquoise is porous and can absorb water, causing discolouration and surface damage over time. Cleanse with moonlight, sound, or smoke instead.

Import Duties & Taxes (outside the UK)
Import duties and taxes for international shipments may be liable to be paid upon arrival in destination country. This varies by country, and Tali and Loz encourage you to be aware of these potential costs before placing an order with us.
If you refuse to pay duties and taxes upon arrival at your destination country, the goods will be returned to Tali and Loz at the customers expense, and the customer will receive a refund for the value of goods paid, minus the cost of the return shipping. The cost of the initial shipping will not be refunded.
