This dark Charoite slice displays deep violet tones with strong internal movement. The side edges are smoothly polished to enhance the colour and sheen, while the top remains naturally rough, preserving its original texture and contrast.

*As much as this slice can stand alone on a flat stable surface, we do recommend the slice is best displayed with a stand, as it might fall over during any movement or not flat surface.

The combination of polished sides and raw upper surface creates a balanced piece that highlights both formation and finish.

Charoite is a rare potassium calcium sodium silicate formed through metamorphic processes and found mainly in Siberia, Russia. Its fibrous structure produces the flowing patterns and subtle chatoyancy visible when polished. Mohs hardness 5 to 6, ideal for display.

Spiritually, Charoite is associated with transformation, clarity and inner strength. Linked to the Crown and Heart Chakras, it is often chosen to support calm focus during periods of change.

Charoite is a beautiful and unique mineral with distinct purple colouration. Charoite was first discovered in the 1940s in the Chara River area of Siberia, the river for which it was named. The mineral's unique colour and swirling patterns quickly captured the attention of scientists and gem enthusiasts. Charoite is formed through a complex geological process involving the alteration of limestone by alkaline fluids in association with other minerals such as Aegirine, Microcline, and Tinaksite. The unique purple colour of Charoite is believed to be caused by trace amounts of manganese within the crystal structure.

Import Duties & Taxes (outside the UK)

If you refuse to pay duties and taxes upon arrival at your destination country, the goods will be returned to Tali and Loz at the customers expense, and the customer will receive a refund for the value of goods paid, minus the cost of the return shipping.
