Lepidolite in Citrine on Stand 11.5cm, Brazil

This unique Lepidolite on Citrine specimen from Brazil features a natural Citrine point with a beautiful coating of Lepidolite across one side, creating a striking contrast between golden clarity and soft lilac tones. Displayed on a stand, the full piece measures approximately 11.5cm, with the crystal itself measuring around 6.8cm x 4.1cm x 3.9cm.

The Citrine point shows natural structure and translucency, allowing light to move through the crystal and highlight its internal formation. Along one side, Lepidolite has developed as a textured layer, adding a gentle shimmer and depth to the piece. This combination reflects different stages of mineral growth, where Lithium rich Lepidolite formed alongside or after the Quartz crystal.

Citrine is a variety of Quartz coloured by trace Iron and heat within the Earth, forming in hydrothermal environments. Lepidolite, a Lithium rich mica, typically forms in granitic pegmatites and is known for its platy, reflective structure. Together, they create a visually balanced specimen that combines clarity with soft texture.

It is often found in association with other Lithium-bearing minerals such as spodumene and tourmaline. Lepidolite is primarily composed of Potassium, Lithium, Aluminium, and Silicon, along with traces of other elements. Its lavender to purple colour is caused by the presence of Manganese.

Formed in the depths of the Earth, Lepidolite derives its name from the Greek word "lepidos," meaning scale, due to its scaly appearance.

Import Duties & Taxes (outside the UK)

Import duties and taxes for international shipments may be liable to be paid upon arrival in destination country. This varies by country, and Tali and Loz encourage you to be aware of these potential costs before placing an order with us.

If you refuse to pay duties and taxes upon arrival at your destination country, the goods will be returned to Tali and Loz at the customers expense, and the customer will receive a refund for the value of goods paid, minus the cost of the return shipping. The cost of the initial shipping will not be refunded.
