This Green Onyx necklace is handcrafted in the UK by MG Silver Jewellery and set in solid 925 silver, featuring crystals carefully selected by Tali and Loz. The design showcases two oval Green Onyx stones, with a smaller oval positioned above a longer oval cabochon. The stones are framed by delicate handcrafted silver vines that lead towards the chain, finished with four finely detailed silver leaves.

Green Onyx is a variety of Chalcedony within the Quartz family, formed when silica rich solutions crystallise within rock cavities. Bechar 006 is classified as a lunar feldspathic breccia, a type of rock originating from the Moon’s ancient highlands crust. Feldspathic breccias form when repeated meteorite impacts strike the Moon’s surface. The impacts break existing lunar rocks into fragments and then weld them together through heat and pressure, producing a brecciated matrix. These rocks represent some of the oldest crustal material of the Moon, often dating back over 4 billion years.

Aletai Iron (IIIE) is a genuine iron meteorite from the Aletai region of Xinjiang, China, formed approximately 4.5 billion years ago within the core of an early asteroid. Composed primarily of Iron and Nickel, this extraterrestrial material cooled extremely slowly in space, allowing the development of the distinctive Widmanstätten pattern, an intergrowth of Kamacite and Taenite that cannot form under Earth conditions.

Belonging to the IIIE chemical group, Aletai Iron is valued for its scientific importance, stable iron nickel composition and ancient cosmic origin.

Aletai Iron (IIIE) is a natural iron meteorite. It is a piece of metal that formed in space around 4.5 billion years ago inside the core of an early asteroid. When that asteroid broke apart, fragments eventually fell to Earth, and some of those were found in the Aletai region of Xinjiang, China.

Mineralogically, it is composed mainly of Iron and Nickel, with a crystalline metallic structure that developed as the parent asteroid cooled extremely slowly over millions of years. This slow cooling creates the internal Widmanstätten pattern, a distinctive intergrowth of Kamacite and Taenite that is unique to iron meteorites and cannot form naturally on Earth.

Pyrite Pseudomorph after Pyrrhotite Specimen 1KG, Trepca Yugoslavia 

Location: Trepca Yugoslavia 

This striking specimen originates from the Trepča mining district of former Yugoslavia and is an excellent example of a pyrite pseudomorph after pyrrhotite. In this process, pyrite has gradually replaced the original pyrrhotite while preserving its original crystal shape and structure, creating a visually distinctive and scientifically interesting piece.

The surface displays metallic bronze to gold tones typical of pyrite, with textured crystal faces that reflect its replacement history rather than fresh crystal growth. Pseudomorphs such as this are valued for showing clear evidence of mineral transformation, where chemical conditions change but the original form remains intact.

This specimen weighs approximately 1kg and is completely natural and one of a kind. It is best suited for display or collection rather than handling.
