Mined from the legendary Messina copper deposits in Limpopo — one of the only localities in the world to produce gem-quality ajoite.

A freeform free-standing specimen coated in a dense crust of botryoidal ajoite clusters. The colour ranges from pale mint at the base to saturated robin's-egg teal at the crown, with the characteristic powdery, almost chalky surface texture of ajoite breaking into small crystalline protrusions. The quartz matrix beneath shows through at the edges in milky white. Under light, the surface has a subtle silky sheen across the druzy faces.

Turquoise forms as a secondary phosphate mineral through the interaction of copper, aluminium, and phosphate-rich groundwater, with copper giving it its characteristic sky blue colouring. Cornish Turquoise is genuinely rare, forming in association with the copper-bearing mineral deposits historically worked across the Cornish mining landscape.

Turquoise is one of the oldest and most universally revered stones in the world, strongly connected to the Throat Chakra and associated with protection, wisdom, and clear communication.

The surface is entirely botryoidal, built up from tightly packed rounded orbs in deep charcoal and iron-black. Across this, a vivid iridescent film shifts between crimson, magenta, teal-green, and violet depending on the angle and light source — the effect is almost oil-slick in its intensity, with pockets of brighter colour concentrated along the ridges and edges of the botryoidal formations. The close-up shots show the full complexity of the colour play particularly well.
