This 13cm diameter sphere is a microcrystalline variety of Quartz formed through slow silica deposition within volcanic host rock. Mineral-rich fluids created its characteristic circular and layered structures over time, resulting in the varied colour tones and natural pattern formations seen throughout the stone.

From an unlabelled private collection — this substantial egg in Ruby in Serpentine carries the quiet, grounding energy of the forest floor.

The base is a cool sage and grey-green serpentine, heavily mottled with a fine granular texture that catches light across its polished surface. Deeper olive and charcoal patches move through the stone in soft, irregular clouds, with flashes of brighter apple-green where the serpentine is purest. Ruby inclusions appear as warm reddish-brown and burgundy concentrations distributed throughout — not gem-quality ruby, but the same corundum mineral in its raw, matrix form, adding depth and contrast to the overall composition.

Ruby in Serpentine combines the grounding, protective qualities of serpentine with the vitality and passion of ruby. Ajoite Specimen | 36mm | Messina, South Africa | sold as seen

Mined from the legendary Messina copper deposits in Limpopo — one of the only localities in the world to produce gem-quality ajoite.

A freeform free-standing specimen coated in a dense crust of botryoidal ajoite clusters. The colour ranges from pale mint at the base to saturated robin's-egg teal at the crown, with the characteristic powdery, almost chalky surface texture of ajoite breaking into small crystalline protrusions. The quartz matrix beneath shows through at the edges in milky white. Under light, the surface has a subtle silky sheen across the druzy faces.

A high-vibration stone associated with the heart and throat chakras, ajoite is prized for its gentle but deeply transformative energy — supporting emotional release, inner peace, and connection to higher guidance. A companion for meditation, shadow work, or simply a sacred space.

Barite on Malachite | 66mm | Shangulowe Mine, DR Congo

From the Shangulowe Mine in Kambove, one of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s most celebrated copper belt localities — a source renowned for producing some of the finest malachite specimens in the world.

The front face is densely covered in vivid emerald-green botryoidal malachite — tightly packed orbs with characteristic concentric banding visible at the centres, ranging from deep forest green to bright translucent teal at the edges. Interspersed throughout are colourless to white barite crystals, their glassy tabular faces catching the light against the matte-velvet malachite surface. The reverse shows the raw underside of the specimen: banded malachite in sweeping teal and green layers, with a more earthy, unpolished character. Presented on an acrylic museum-style display stand.

A heart chakra stone of considerable presence, malachite is associated with transformation, protection, and emotional clarity — drawing out what no longer serves and amplifying the capacity for change. The barite adds a grounding, calming energy, supporting deep rest and stress release. A collector’s piece as much as a spiritual one.
