Location: Ouled Abdoun Basin, Morocco

This Mosasaurus tooth preserved in matrix originates from the Ouled Abdoun Basin in Morocco, one of the world’s most important fossil bearing phosphate regions. The specimen retains the tooth embedded within its surrounding natural rock.

Mosasaurs were large marine reptiles that dominated the Late Cretaceous oceans, living around 70 to 66 million years ago. With powerful jaws lined with sharp conical teeth, they were highly effective predators capable of gripping and tearing prey in ancient seas.

Over millions of years the tooth underwent permineralisation, a natural fossilisation process where minerals such as silica, calcite or phosphate slowly replaced the original organic material. This transformation preserved the structure of the tooth while turning it into stone, allowing remarkable detail and form to remain visible today.

Spiritually, Mosasaurus teeth are often associated with strength, instinct and resilience. Linked to the Root and Solar Plexus Chakras, they are traditionally chosen to support grounding, confidence and a strong sense of personal direction.

If you refuse to pay duties and taxes upon arrival at your destination country, the goods will be returned to Tali and Loz at the customers expense, and the customer will receive a refund for the value of goods paid, minus the cost of the return shipping.
