At first glance, a deep and glossy black obsidian sphere — but this one has a secret. Catch it in the right light and a soft, silvery sheen shimmers across the surface, that characteristic metallic flash caused by tiny gas bubbles trapped within the volcanic glass as it formed. It is understated and quietly mesmerising.

Acquired from our old collection and sold as seen. A compact, satisfying sphere that works beautifully on a desk or shelf.

Silver Sheen Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed when silica-rich lava cools rapidly upon contact with air or water at the edges of lava streams, preventing crystallisation. Its distinctive silver sheen is caused by the reflection of light from microscopic gas bubbles trapped within the glass during cooling — creating a shimmering, metallic effect when light hits the surface at the right angle.

Because Obsidian is volcanic glass, it can produce extremely sharp edges, and was prized by ancient civilisations such as the Aztecs for crafting arrowheads and cutting tools.

Import Duties & Taxes (outside the UK)

If you refuse to pay duties and taxes upon arrival at your destination country, the goods will be returned to Tali and Loz at the customers expense, and the customer will receive a refund for the value of goods paid, minus the cost of the return shipping. The cost of the initial shipping will not be refunded.
