Distinct ochre orbs sit clearly defined against the surrounding matrix, with pink and mauve colouring threading through the piece and softening the warmth of the ochre into something altogether more complex. It is the kind of colour combination that photographs well but looks even better in person.

Every orb is a record of radial mineral growth that took place over millions of years in the volcanic basalts of Madagascar. No two pieces are ever the same, and this one is particularly its own.

Dense clusters of deep indigo-blue botryoidal fluorite coat the surface in rounded, grape-like nodules, their colour ranging from midnight blue to near-black in the densest formations, with flashes of violet where light catches the curved surfaces. Bright white quartz points pierce through the fluorite crust, their milky terminations providing a vivid contrast against the dark mineral coat. The reverse reveals the full quartz host — a chalky white druzy matrix fringed with scattered indigo fluorite nodules along the edges, with three glassy quartz crystals visible at the centre.

This petite crystallised Rose Quartz specimen, from Brazil and sourced from an older, previously owned mineral collection, has a striking upright form with delicate blush-pink colour and warm golden-peach zoning.

Translucent quartz crystals rise closely together in a slender, sculptural cluster. The surface shifts between softly frosted growth and glassier faces that flash in the light, while warmer honey-toned areas concentrate around the upper terminations. Natural dark inclusions and fine mineral staining run through parts of the crystal growth, adding contrast and a glimpse into the conditions in which the specimen formed. Seriphos Quartz is a rare and striking form of green Quartz found only on the Greek island of Serifos in the Aegean Sea. Known for its vivid colour and sharply defined crystal shapes, it is one of the most distinctive regional Quartz varieties in the world.

Seriphos Quartz forms within metamorphic rocks that have been altered by intense heat and pressure deep within the Earth. During this process, hot mineral rich fluids move through fractures in the rock and begin to crystallise. The colouring can range from soft pale green to deep olive or even bluish tones depending on the specific balance of mineral inclusions and geological conditions at the time of formation.
