Shattuckite is a rare copper silicate hydroxide mineral, first described from the Shattuck Mine in Bisbee, Arizona. It forms in the oxidation zones of copper deposits and is closely associated with other copper minerals such as malachite, chrysocolla, and plancheite. The Kaokoveld Plateau of Namibia is one of the world's premier sources, producing specimens of exceptional colour and quality.
