This is a Morion specimen: naturally dark smoky quartz, colour produced entirely by natural irradiation with no heat or enhancement. Olive-grey to warm taupe throughout, the cluster is covered in hundreds of short, rounded elestial points with deeply etched terminations and glassy, reflective faces. Warm amethyst-violet at the core, shifting to amber-citrine and dusty rose across the upper points, the main stalactitic columns are encrusted from base to tip in hundreds of tiny druzy quartz crystals, each one catching light with a fine, sugary sparkle.
