From an unlabelled private collection — this substantial egg in Ruby in Serpentine carries the quiet, grounding energy of the forest floor.

The base is a cool sage and grey-green serpentine, heavily mottled with a fine granular texture that catches light across its polished surface. Deeper olive and charcoal patches move through the stone in soft, irregular clouds, with flashes of brighter apple-green where the serpentine is purest. Ruby inclusions appear as warm reddish-brown and burgundy concentrations distributed throughout — not gem-quality ruby, but the same corundum mineral in its raw, matrix form, adding depth and contrast to the overall composition.

From an old private collection — a petite, gem-quality Verdelite crystal with a distinctly blue-green hue that sits right on the boundary between green and indicolite tourmaline.

The crystal is a single prismatic column, 12mm in length, with strong vertical striations running the length of the body. The colour is a cool teal-green — deeper and more saturated at the core, shifting to a slightly paler, more translucent blue-green toward the termination. Under direct light, the interior glows with a glassy clarity typical of gem-grade tourmaline. Small natural surface features are present, consistent with its natural formation.

Hematoid Quartz forms when iron-rich hydrothermal fluids penetrate Clear Quartz during or after crystallisation, depositing Hematite (iron oxide, Fe₂O₃) within the Quartz matrix. The depth of red in any given specimen reflects the concentration and form of the Hematite present — where it is dense and well-distributed, as in this piece, the result is the kind of deep, flowing red that collectors actively seek out. The palmstone shape is smooth and tactile, shaped to sit comfortably in the hand.
