Collawood is an exceptionally rare variety of petrified wood discovered in 2012 near Zile in central Turkey. During fossilisation, the original wood structure became infused with copper minerals such as Chrysocolla, Malachite and Azurite, creating vibrant blue, green and teal tones within the ancient wood grain. These striking mineral replacements give Collawood its colourful and highly distinctive appearance, making each piece truly unique. Traditionally, Collawood is associated with grounding, clarity and balanced emotional energy.
