A gorgeous one-off Blue Agate flame from Madagascar with exceptional translucency — when held to the light, the stone glows with a soft, luminous blue that reveals the full depth of the material. Warm yellow inclusions run through the stone, creating a beautiful contrast against the cool blue base. One piece, sold as seen.

Please note: this piece has natural internal cracks, clearly visible in the photos. These are entirely natural features of the stone and do not affect its structural integrity — and in a piece this translucent, they become part of the visual story rather than a distraction from it.

Blue Agate is a banded variety of Chalcedony, a microcrystalline form of Quartz, whose blue tones come from light scattering within the fine silica structure rather than from a single colouring mineral — the same optical effect that makes the sky blue. The yellow inclusions are zones of iron oxide-stained Chalcedony formed during the same slow crystallisation process, as silica-rich fluids deposited successive layers within a cavity in volcanic rock. The translucency is a mark of high quality material with minimal impurities in the silica matrix.
