Moqui Marbles formed within the Navajo Sandstone formations of Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico, where mineral-rich groundwater deposited iron minerals around sandstone over thousands to millions of years. The interior is sandstone while the outer surface is composed primarily of Hematite and other iron oxides, sometimes with traces of Pyrite.
Traditionally used in meditation and energy practices to support connection with the Earth. When used as a male and female pair, the flatter stone is considered masculine energy and the rounder smoother stone feminine, holding one in each hand believed to bring energetic balance.
