How to Combine and Use Crystals with Sacred Geometry

Did you know that combining the use of crystals with the shapes of Sacred Geometry can amplify your energetic intentions? As you expand your understanding of crystals, energy, and spirituality, you’ll begin to find new ways to expand you practices too, like incorporating Sacred Geometry, for instance.

If we want to understand how crystals and Sacred Geometry go together, we must first develop an understanding of Sacred Geometry. What is Sacred Geometry? Where does it come from? How can we use it? What shapes exist within Sacred Geometry, and finally, how and why would we combine crystals with Sacred Geometry? Find the answers to all these questions and more as you continue reading below.

What is Sacred Geometry?

The term “Sacred Geometry” refers to the shapes and patterns that exist naturally within nature. These patterns, which you may notice in the details of a snowflake or the structure of a spider’s web, make up the foundational structure for life in the Universe, and contain their own energy signatures. The patterns of Sacred Geometry can be interpreted through the languages of science and mathematics to reveal how the very energy of creation organizes itself into life.

Sacred Geometry can be observed through everything in nature, including:

  • Human DNA
  • Flower petals
  • Sea shells
  • Crystals
  • And more.

All life forms are created from the geometric codes of Sacred Geometry – all the way down to the molecules that build our bodies. Everything exists through Sacred Geometry – it is the blueprint from which our universe is built. Even the spacing between planets and stars are determined by Sacred Geometry.

History of Sacred Geometry

The understanding of Sacred Geometry can be linked all the way back to ancient civilizations, including Egypt and Greece.

The Egyptians understood the principles of Sacred Geometry and were able to use this understanding to their advantage – to understand the mysteries of Divine structure and capture the beneficial energies of the Universe.

The Egyptians built their entire civilization on the principles of Sacred Geometry. In order to do so, they used a special cord to establish the necessary shapes for the structures they built. The cord was made up of a piece of rope with thirteen knots tied into it, making 12, equally distanced spaces, each measuring out to one Egyptian cubit (approximately 0.5236 meters).

When we observe the history of the ancient Greeks, we learn that they studied and expanded upon the understanding and application of mathematical geometry. When we take an even closer look, it becomes evident that they also understood geometry to be sacred. As Pythagoras once said, for instance, “numbers govern the Universe.”

The Greeks were very intentional with their use of Geometry and left clues that suggest their belief in its Divine significance. For example, Greek houses of worship were built to create equilateral and isosceles triangles. By marking the points where these structures lie on a map, these triangles can be drawn in perfect proportion.

How to Use Sacred Geometry

If you wish to reap the benefits of Sacred Geometry before combining it with your use of crystals, you can choose to do so in a variety of ways. Meditating on a particular pattern can help you embody the Divine energy of that pattern. Similarly, wearing jewellery with the shapes of Sacred Geometry can help you carry that Divine energy with your throughout the day. As you endeavor to learn more about Sacred Geometry, you might like drawing sacred geometric shapes, or observing them in nature. You can also learn to sense and identify the energetic vibrations of Sacred Geometry by listening to music.

Each shape of Sacred Geometry holds its own diving meaning and vibration. Some of the Universal shapes found in sacred Geometry include:

  • Triangle
    Icosahedron Amethyst Crystals
  • Fibonacci Spiral
  • Sphere
  • Tetrahedron
  • Hexahedron
  • Icosahedron
  • Dodecahedron
  • Octahedron

In Sacred Geometry, Triangles signify the state of equanimity or the balance between body, mind, and spirit. When the point of a triangle is facing towards the heavens, it signifies the elevation of consciousness. When the point is facing downwards, it symbolizes femininity, fertility, and the womb.

The Spiral shape represents the physical manifestation of the connection between macrocosm and microcosm, or, “as above, so below.” It represents our direct connection with the Divine – that we are a reflection of all that is sacred.

The Sphere in Sacred Geometry represents wholeness and unity. All other shapes in Sacred Geometry are organized within the sphere, just as all life on Earth exits within the planet. Life is born from the sphere – plants grow from seeds, human babies develop from the eggs of their mothers’ wombs, and even the cells that make up our bodies are spherical in shape.

In Sacred Geometry, there are five symbols known as the five Platonic Shapes.

These well-known aspects of Sacred Geometry are similar in proportion – the sizes of their faces, the length of their edges and the interior angles formed within each of them. When placed inside of a sphere, each point of a Platonic Shape will touch part of the sphere.

The five Platonic Shapes are the Hexahedron (cube), the Tetrahedron (pyramid), Octahedron, Dodecahedron and Icosahedron. Each Platonic Shape represents one of the five elements.

These are some of the most basic shapes found in Sacred Geometry, and they can be found interwoven within many, much more complex sacred geometric configurations.

How to Use Crystals with Sacred Geometry

Crystals and Sacred Geometry are most commonly put together through the use of crystal grids. Crystal grids are used as tools for manifestation. Creating a crystal grid can help intensify the energy of the crystals you choose to use, and the geometric shape you choose to work with, thereby amplifying your intention.

Circle crystal grids

To make a crystal grid, you must first consider your intention and then align that intention with the appropriate crystals and sacred geometric shapes. Then, to create your crystal grid, you need to place your stones in exact, geometric configurations to establish the appropriate flow of energy for your intention. If you’d like, you can print your chosen pattern out on a piece of paper to help you align your crystals properly.

Most grids are made up of one central stone, which is then surrounded by another set (or two, or three) of complimentary crystals. Some practitioners will also use Clear Quartz to create a circle around the crystal grid to enhance its energy even further.
