Ginkgo Leaf Fossil 10cm, North Dakota

This Ginkgo Leaf fossil  originates from the Sentinel Butte Formation, Morton County, North Dakota. The fossil preserves the distinctive fan shaped leaf form of the Ginkgo tree, with visible vein structure that reflects its botanical origin.

Fossilisation occurred when fallen leaves became buried in sediment, where mineral rich conditions gradually preserved the leaf impression over millions of years. The Sentinel Butte Formation is known for its well preserved plant fossils and offers insight into prehistoric environments.

Ginkgo Leaf fossils are often associated with resilience and continuity, reflecting the enduring nature of the Ginkgo lineage. Each specimen is completely natural and one of a kind, making it a meaningful addition to fossil collections or display spaces.

This natural Tanzanite gemstone originates from the Merelani Hills of northern Tanzania, the only known source of Tanzanite worldwide. This particular Tanzanite also contains natural Hematite inclusions giving it a strong visual presence, making it a striking addition to both mineral collections and contemplative display spaces.

Tanzanite is a naturally blue to violet stone formed under rare geological conditions. Its colour comes from small amounts of vanadium, and the stone can appear slightly different shades of blue or violet depending on the light and the angle you view it from.

Traditionally, Tanzanite is associated with insight, intuition and clear expression. Linked to the Throat, Third Eye and Crown Chakras, it is often chosen to support awareness, reflection and mindful communication.

Originating from copper rich deposits, the stalactite formed as mineral laden solutions slowly deposited layers of Malachite over time. In this specimen, the crystallisation is especially well developed, this effect is caused by Malachite’s fibrous microcrystalline structure, where numerous tiny crystal faces reflect light at different angles.

Malachite is a secondary copper carbonate mineral that forms in the oxidation zones of copper deposits. Stalactite specimens such as this clearly reveal the mineral’s growth process and are particularly valued by collectors for their geological character and rarity.

Malachite is traditionally associated with transformation and awareness and is linked to the Heart and Throat Chakras.
