Spessartine Garnet is a member of the Garnet group within the Silicate mineral class. It forms under high temperature conditions in metamorphic rocks and granite pegmatites, where manganese plays a key role in producing its distinctive fiery colouring. Crystals often develop in rounded or dodecahedral forms, reflecting its cubic crystal system.
