This 9g slice (30x30x2mm) formed at the boundary between the metallic core and silicate mantle of an ancient asteroid. Olivine, a magnesium-iron silicate, crystallised within the parent body before it fragmented and eventually fell to Earth. Pallasites are believed to originate from the Asteroid Belt between Mars and Jupiter and are among the rarest and most sought-after meteorite types.

From the celebrated Tharsis mining district of Andalusia, Spain — one of the few localities in the world known to produce goethite with this quality of iridescence.

The surface is entirely botryoidal, built up from tightly packed rounded orbs in deep charcoal and iron-black. Across this, a vivid iridescent film shifts between crimson, magenta, teal-green, and violet depending on the angle and light source — the effect is almost oil-slick in its intensity, with pockets of brighter colour concentrated along the ridges and edges of the botryoidal formations. The close-up shots show the full complexity of the colour play particularly well.

Goethite is a stone of attunement and inner knowing, said to support focus, grounding, and connection to the earth. Its iridescent quality is associated with expanded perception and higher awareness — a striking piece for collectors and those drawn to unusual, high-vibration minerals.

A genuine Aletai Iron meteorite (IIIE group) from Xinjiang, China, formed approximately 4.5 billion years ago within the core of an early asteroid. Sold as seen.

This 9.3g slice (34x17x2mm) is composed primarily of iron and nickel. Its slow cooling in space allowed the development of the distinctive Widmanstätten pattern — an intergrowth of Kamacite and Taenite that cannot form under Earth conditions and is unique to iron meteorites.
