Lunar Meteorite | 0.10-0.30g | Bechar, Algeria

A fragment of the Moon, ancient highland crust that survived a journey through space to land in the Algerian desert in 2022.

Each 0.10-0.30g specimen (approx. 0.5-1cm) is classified as Bechar 006, a lunar feldspathic breccia formed from the Moon's ancient outer crust. Its pale grey, cream, and white matrix is laced with darker angular clasts, fragments of lunar rock fused together by billions of years of meteorite impacts on the Moon's surface. Feldspathic breccias represent some of the oldest crustal material in the solar system, often dating back over 4 billion years. Found in the Bechar region of Algeria in 2022, each piece is a certified fragment of another world.

Hematoid Quartz forms when iron-rich hydrothermal fluids penetrate Clear Quartz during or after crystallisation, depositing Hematite (iron oxide, Fe₂O₃) within the Quartz matrix. The depth of red in any given specimen reflects the concentration and form of the Hematite present — where it is dense and well-distributed, as in this piece, the result is the kind of deep, flowing red that collectors actively seek out. A richly coloured cluster of cubic fluorite crystals coated and intergrown with baryte, displaying the kind of complex mineral association that makes sediment-hosted deposits so rewarding for collectors. Sourced from the Xiefang Mine, Jiangxi, China.

Warm olive-gold tones dominate, shifting through amber and yellow-green as the light moves across the cubic crystal faces. A small, polished freeform piece of Morenci Turquoise with striking pyrite matrix — one of the most collectible turquoise localities in the world, known for its vivid, saturated colour and bold metallic inclusions.

The colour is exceptional: a bright, electric blue-green, with seams and clusters of silver-black pyrite running through it in a way that feels almost deliberate — part contrast, part texture, part geology.
