Lunar Meteorite | 0.30-0.37g | Northwest Africa

A certified fragment of the Moon's ancient highland crust, discovered in the Sahara Desert in 2020 and classified as NWA 13568.

Each 0.30-0.37g specimen (approx. 0.5-1cm) is a polymict feldspathic breccia, composed of multiple rock types shattered and fused together by repeated asteroid impacts on the lunar surface over 4 billion years ago. Its pale grey, off-white, and cream matrix is speckled with darker mineral fragments, each one a record of the Moon's violent and ancient geological history. NWA 13568 was found in the Tindouf region of Algeria in 2020 and is officially classified as a lunar achondrite meteorite.

A large, densely packed elestial smoky quartz cluster from Romania, one of the finest sources for this distinctive skeletal growth form. This is a Morion specimen: naturally dark smoky quartz, colour produced entirely by natural irradiation with no heat or enhancement. Part of an old collection and no longer available to source, a genuine rarity.

Olive-grey to warm taupe throughout, the cluster is covered in hundreds of short, rounded elestial points with deeply etched terminations and glassy, reflective faces. Growth spirals and re-entrant angles are visible across the upper surface, each point catching light differently as the angle shifts. From the Shangulowe Mine in Kambove, one of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s most celebrated copper belt localities — a source renowned for producing some of the finest malachite specimens in the world.

A chunky, three-dimensional specimen with a dramatic crown of upright barite needle clusters erupting from the top face. The barite crystals are elongated and translucent, coated in fine emerald-green malachite that gives them a vivid, almost iridescent quality. The lower portion is dominated by a dense, earthy iron-oxide matrix in warm ochre and russet tones, with pockets of glassy barite and malachite growth visible throughout.
