This 0.98gr specimen (2x0.9x0.5cm) from the Wessels Mine, South Africa. Sugilite is a potassium sodium lithium iron manganese silicate developing in manganese-rich environments, first identified in Japan in 1944 by petrologist Kenichi Sugi. Each specimen is entirely natural and unique.
