Barite on Malachite | 52mm | Shangulowe Mine, DR Congo

From the Shangulowe Mine in Kambove, one of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s most celebrated copper belt localities — a source renowned for producing some of the finest malachite specimens in the world.

A chunky, three-dimensional specimen with a dramatic crown of upright barite needle clusters erupting from the top face. The barite crystals are elongated and translucent, coated in fine emerald-green malachite that gives them a vivid, almost iridescent quality. The lower portion is dominated by a dense, earthy iron-oxide matrix in warm ochre and russet tones, with pockets of glassy barite and malachite growth visible throughout. The reverse is raw and unworked, showing the full depth of the host matrix. Presented on an acrylic museum-style display stand.

Each tumblestone displays vivid violet-to-magenta colouring set against a dark olive-green serpentinite matrix, the two minerals having formed together in ancient ultramafic rock. From the celebrated Huanggang Mine in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia — one of China's most prolific sources of fine mineral specimens — this piece showcases the distinctive 'blueberry' fluorite habit that has made the locality a favourite among collectors worldwide.

Dense clusters of deep indigo-blue botryoidal fluorite coat the surface in rounded, grape-like nodules, their colour ranging from midnight blue to near-black in the densest formations, with flashes of violet where light catches the curved surfaces. Bright white quartz points pierce through the fluorite crust, their milky terminations providing a vivid contrast against the dark mineral coat. The reverse reveals the full quartz host — a chalky white druzy matrix fringed with scattered indigo fluorite nodules along the edges, with three glassy quartz crystals visible at the centre.

A near-kilogram malachite stalactite from the Democratic Republic of Congo — one of the world's great copper-belt localities and the source of some of the finest malachite specimens in existence.

The surface is covered entirely in tightly packed botryoidal orbs ranging from small, intricate formations to large, rounded domes, all in a vivid, saturated emerald green. Each orb has a characteristic concentric centre, visible across the specimen, giving the surface an almost cellular quality. At the top, a natural cavity reveals a cluster of druzy crystals in silver-grey — a striking contrast to the green exterior. The reverse shows the raw, unformed underside of the stalactite, with pale matrix and additional malachite growth.

Malachite is a powerful stone of transformation, heart healing, and protection. It draws out emotional patterns, supports change, and is closely associated with the heart chakra. Bright, brassy micro-crystalline pyrite blankets the face in a near-continuous metallic crust, with violet amethyst points visible beneath — purple windows glowing through a golden lattice. Catch it in direct light and the surface ignites. The profile reveals the piece's true character: elongated amethyst points running along the edge, partially draped in pyrite, giving a clear sense of the co-crystallisation in cross-section. Rubellite Tourmaline Crystal | 14mm | Brazil

A single terminated rubellite tourmaline crystal from Brazil, displaying the classic striated prismatic form of the species.

Deep raspberry-pink shading to warm burgundy at the core, with the characteristic vertical striations running the length of the prism faces. The termination is intact and well-defined. Ocean Jasper Palmstone | 4.3cm | Madagascar

Acquired from an old private collection, this compact Ocean Jasper palmstone has a quietly beautiful colour split across its face. The left side is creamy white — pale, smooth, and calm. Moving across to the right, the tone shifts into warm yellows, light browns, and a hint of red, as though the stone kept its cooler self on one side and its warmer self on the other.

It has two flat surfaces, which makes it particularly comfortable to hold and easy to display without a stand. Small enough to carry in a pocket, substantial enough to feel considered in the hand.
